Premier Nomvula Mokonyane speech gives focused attention to SMMEs and Cooperatives
Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane recently delivered her state of the province address at the legislature. Laying down the programme of action for the financial year 2010/11, she rolled out plans and commitments towards the development of SMMEs and Cooperatives. This what she said;
“Greater attention will be given to supporting the growth of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) as well as cooperatives. We will focus on poor communities with the aim of creating new wealth which will translate into decent work opportunities. Support will include business development, mentoring, loan financing and other forms of support that will ensure viability and sustainability of SMMEs and cooperatives.
