WELCOME TO GEP
GEP is an agency of the Provincial Department of Economic Development in Gauteng. The main objective of the agency is Small Business Development, this includes Financial and Non-Financial support to Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprises (SMMEs) and Co-operatives. It started operating in 2005 and its formation was informed by the province’s Growth and Development Strategy (GDS) which had identified SMME Development as one of the key levers to address the triple challenges of Unemployment, Poverty and Inequality.

This manual is published in accordance with regulations of chapter 2, section 14 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act No.2 of 2000 (“PAIA”).
